Villa (one series) Queenstown, New Zealand

VERTICAL DESIGN

Set within the manicured, rural grassland of Millbrook Resort, Arrowtown, a group of concrete clad gabled forms are arranged axially around a series of garden courtyards. The weathered, timber screened terraces are designed to suit any time of day and each season. Vertical elements such as roof lights, dormers and chimneys effortless articulate the rooflines.

NATURAL LOOK

The interior program, incorporating natural materials of timber, stone and fresh white tones, expresses a structural rhythm of the dwelling. Timber posts, expressed roof trusses and beams interact visually with the garden terrace.

BRUSHED STAINLESS STEEL

The contemporary design of the hardware designed by Piet Boon contributes to the interaction between the ever changing landscape and structural rhythm of the interior. The brushed stainless steel matches the natural materials that are used and interest with their subtle fine details.
